Course Summary
Ignite your passion for dance and take your creativity to the next level! When you join our dynamic dance course, you’ll dive into an exciting range of dance styles, including contemporary dance, jazz dance and urban dance. You’ll not only build a strong technical foundation in each style, but also develop your versatility and personal expression as a performer.
You will also step into the role of a choreographer, where you’ll explore how to craft your own original dance pieces, inspired by a wide variety of thought-provoking stimuli.
You’ll learn how to bring your ideas to life, tell compelling stories through movement and collaborate with others in a creative and supportive environment. You’ll also develop a broad knowledge of the Performing Arts Industry, including career pathways, current trends and the professional skills needed to succeed in this exciting field. Whether your dream is to perform, choreograph, or work behind the scenes, this course will give you the tools, confidence, and inspiration to begin your journey in the world of dance and performing arts. Entry requirements
To get the most out of this course, you should ideally have studied BTEC Performing Arts or GCSE Dance during your time at High School. But do not worry if you haven’t– if you’ve been training in dance styles at a private dance school then this is also the course for you! We’re looking for students who are passionate about dance, committed to developing their skills, and ready to work creatively and collaboratively.
