Students complete a range of units for the double award with additional units for the triple award.
- Work Experience: Students may get the chance to work in a variety of settings, such as hospitals, residential homes, and day-care centres
- Communication: Students learn to develop effective communication skills
- Professional development: Students learn about professional development and how to enhance their hard and soft skills
- Diversity and equality: Students learn about diversity, equality, and rights for all people in society.
- Psychology and sociology: Students learn about psychology and sociology as they relate to health and social care
- Anatomy and physiology: Students learn about human anatomy and physiology
- Public health: Students learn about the role of public health in keeping the nation healthy
- Nutrition: Students learn about nutrition and how it relates to health and social care.
- Duty of care: Students learn about duty of care across different areas within the health and social care professions.
- Mental capacity: Students learn about mental capacity and the impact on treatment
- Some courses may also include safeguarding, life-stage development, and health education.
