Course Summary

Developed in conjunction with employers and professional bodies, this course uses current business practice for learners planning to enter employment directly in the business sector and/or progress to further education.

Course Details

This qualification gives you the knowledge, understanding and skills that underpin the business. This includes the opportunity for you to choose two units from a selection of options to supplement the mandatory units which reflect the key topics in business: marketing, business environments, international business management, finance.

If you have not studied business prior to enrolling some background learning via BBC Bit size would be useful GCSE Business - Edexcel - BBC Bitesize

How will it be delivered and assessed?

8 units of which 6 are mandatory and 3 are external. This will cover all of the assessments in the Extended Certificate plus another computer based external assessment, with remaining units being internally assessed coursework.

5 grade 5 at GCSE including maths and English
