Hospitality Level 1

If you have ever thought about working in a restaurant, caf� or hotel, why not join one of our hospitality and catering courses? At Nacro Education, you can learn all about preparing food and drink, serving customers and taking bookings. You will be able to try out recipes for yourself, practice making drinks and prepare yourself for a really enjoyable job.

You will learn about many aspects of the catering and hospitality industry and gain valuable practical and teamwork skills. The qualification covers various routes, including cookery, food service and the industry as a whole. You will do at least two weeks of work experience to support your studies, gain experience and potentially develop contacts with future employers. Our team will help you secure a work placement and will provide you with everything required for you to attend your placement. There are a range of modules available for either the Award, Certificate or Diploma. These include: � Basic food preparation and cooking � Preparing and serving drinks � Using kitchen equipment � Essential knife skills for the catering industry � Preparing and displaying salads and sandwiches for service

You will be required to complete a range of written assignments. You will also be required to demonstrate some skills whilst being observed by your tutor.

No entry requirements but an interest in working in the hospitality and catering industry.

The course enables students to seek employment in a wide variety of catering establishments or progress onto further study at Level 2.
