If you have ever thought about working in a restaurant, caf� or hotel, why not join one of our hospitality and catering courses? At Nacro Education, you can learn all about preparing food and drink, serving customers and taking bookings. You will be able to try out recipes for yourself, practice making drinks and prepare yourself for a really enjoyable job.
Course Details
The course is designed for practical people as most of it is taught in our canteen. You will gain a high standard of cookery skills from processes such as roasting and frying to commodities, whilst also learning other workplace essentials like menu design. There are a range of units which could include:
� Safe working practices for the hospitality industry
� Introduction to professional cookery
� Tools and equipment used in professional cookery
� Boiling, poaching and steaming
� Baking, roasting and grilling
How will it be delivered and assessed?
You will be required to complete a range of written assignments. You will also be required to demonstrate some skills whilst being observed by your tutor.
Entry requirements
Completion of a Level 1 Catering and Hospitality qualification. Grade 2 or above at GCSE in English and maths or E3 Functional Skills.
