Entry requirements
The T Level in Health (NCFE) is perfect for students who are interested in people, healthcare, and real-world learning. You’ll enjoy this course if you want to help others, understand the human body and mind, and make a difference in people’s lives. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills will help you succeed, along with a willingness to learn in both classroom and professional settings such as hospitals or care homes.
You should be comfortable with both academic and practical work, as the course combines written tasks, exams, and hands-on learning. Students aiming for careers like nursing, midwifery, paramedic science, pharmacy, or even medicine should be prepared to continue with further qualifications after the T Level.
Your next steps...
This qualification opens up a wide range of progression routes. Many students go on to university to study nursing, midwifery, paramedic science, radiography, or occupational therapy. Others choose higher or degree apprenticeships with the NHS or private providers, training in roles such as nursing associate or healthcare support worker. Some move directly into employment after college, particularly if they have built strong professional links through their placement.
For students interested in medicine, pharmacy, or biomedical science, the T Level provides a solid foundation, though additional A Levels or bridging courses may be required.
Our alumni have progressed into radiography, paramedic science, mental health nursing, and adult nursing, with many telling us that the T Level gave them the skills and confidence to succeed in practical university assessments.
