This part-time course aimed at adult learners will provide you with a good introduction to carpentry and joinery. You will develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to�prepare you for employment as a skilled crafts person in the near future.�
Course Details
This part-time�course aimed at adult learners�will provide you with a good introduction to carpentry and joinery.�
The first term will focus on learning how to create joinery work by hand. Course content will be delivered and assessed using verbal and visual feedback, creating pieces of work that adhere to current regulations and standards. The course will run over one night per week, giving students the ability to learn quickly through 1 to 1 teaching and group tasks.
Throughout your studies, our industry-trained tutors will teach you the basics relating to construction including working safely, handling & storing resources, your responsibilities at work, communication skills and your will develop your personal effectiveness skills to enable you to progress to further training or employment.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
This course in carpentry and joinery will be delivered and assessed, using verbal and visual feedback, creating pieces of work that adhere to current regulations and standards.
Entry requirements
There are no entry requirements for this course, however learners will need to be aged 19+ and reside in Staffordshire, with Staffordshire County Council as their local authority.
