Course Details

Do you want to work with children and young people of all ages?� Our Level 3 T-Level in Education & Childcare will give you the foundation you need to set you on the path towards your ideal career. Focussing on working with children aged 0-19, the T-Level qualification combines learning in the classroom with gaining vital �on-the-job� experience. In the second year of the course, you will have the option to specialise in working with ages 5-16 as a Teaching Assistant.� As part of the two-year course, you will gain core knowledge of subjects such as supporting education, health and wellbeing, safeguarding and Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND), as well as developing a range of technical and practical skills that employers are looking for.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

You will be assessed through written and practical examinations, employer projects, group work, presentations and analysis. You will also be observed and assessed in the workplace

Entry requirements

You'll need a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including maths and English Language, in subjects that are relevant to the course you'd like to study.

Your next steps...

The course will help you boost your employment prospects by gaining extensive experience on a work placement in a real-world environment, which will enable you to access employment directly after completion of the course, or into a role as a Teaching Assistant. Alternatively, you could progress onto higher education to qualify in one of many different roles such as primary, secondary or further education teaching.
