This T-level in Legal Services (Crime, Criminal Justice and Social Welfare) is a new and exciting two year programme that has been developed to combine classroom and �on-the job� learning that develops your understanding of legal concepts to support those with a license to practise law. This course is suitable for learners who are interested in a career within the legal sector or alternatively criminology, criminal justice and paralegal opportunities. The programme offers the opportunity to meet the needs of the industry and prepares you for work whilst also working to achieve the equivalent of three A-Levels.� As part of the programme of study you will complete 315 hours of work placement. This will develop your skills to support progression into a specialist occupation or further study (including an apprenticeship or Higher Education). NSCG work closely with a range of companies within the industry and are committed to providing placement to learners. Students will be offered a placement following the successful interview with an employer such as the Home Office, Citizens Advice Bureau, NHS, Local Councils, Prosecution Service and Probation Service.

Year 1: The core content in year 1 focuses on the knowledge and understanding of key concepts, theories and principles of the following areas: Business Principles for Legal ServicesApplication of Law Learners will also have the expectation of completing an Employer Set Project which supports the development of written, problem solving and presentation skills with the support of both employers and programme tutors.� Year 2: Students will be able select an occupational pathway, which will be assessed through an externally set project. The pathways to choose from include: Business, Finance and Employment Crime, Criminal Justice and Social welfare Private Client (Conveyancing & Family Law)

Five GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including English, Maths and Science.

Students completing this course may go on to further study in degree related programmes, such as: LawProfessional Legal Practice Criminology/Criminal and Corporate Investigation Others may choose to find employment in a paralegal role, supporting legal professionals in topic such as criminal legislation, representation, social welfare reforms and many more elements of legal services.
