Assessment is through observation of performance in the workplace, knowledge and understanding you show through written/oral questioning and assignments and an e-portfolio of supporting evidence is also collated.

The course is ideal for those with an interest in the Health & Social Care Sector and maybe considering a change in career or already working within the environment. Good level of maths and English required. Entry is by interview, where your individual needs and career prospects will be discussed. A paid or voluntary workplace must be in place to start this course.

Level 3 Diploma in Adult Health and Social Care or progression on to an advanced apprenticeship within the sector.There are further Level 2 certificates that you may progress to, which include: mental health problems, dementia care, infection control, care planning, autism, learning disabilities, equality and diversity, nutrition.
