Leading to a teaching qualification in post-compulsory education this part-time 18-month course will equip you with the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed for the fulfilling role of a teacher or lecturer. If you're already working in further education and want to advance your career by achieving the sector qualification for teaching in post-16 settings, then this could be the course for you.
Course Details
Studying this course, you�ll build a deep understanding of adult education teaching and develop ways to support student learning. Our dedicated team will also help you to master teaching skills and techniques, giving you the confidence to apply your knowledge in the classroom.
You�ll be given the tools to plan, implement and evaluate teaching and learning activities for post-16 education, and follow a course of study and research which covers the following subjects:

This qualification validated by the University of Wolverhampton�will open up a wide range of career options in a variety of educational environments including colleges, community learning and development centres, adult education centres, private training organisations, prisons and young offender institutions, voluntary and charity organisations and universities.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
The course is assessed via completion of assignments, work based observations and professional practice portfolio.
Entry requirements
To study this course, you will need the following qualifications: A Degree in the subject area, Maths and English at grade 4 or above (C or Level 2 equivalent).
You will need to provide two references and have access to a minimum of 2 hours per week teaching post-16 and above.
