Course Details

You'll gain a comprehensive understanding of the legislation that relates to bullying, as well as learning about the effects it can have on children and young people.Plus, you'll gain an insight into cyber bullying - an increasingly prevalent issue. With this anti-bullying training, you'll be fully equipped to create a safe and bully-free environment for children and young people.�During the online course you will learn:Unit 1: Principles of bullyingDefine bullying, cyber-bullying and discrimination and look at bullying in context. Look into the short term and long term effects that bullying can have on children and young people.Unit 2: Recognising bullying in children and young peopleIdentify individuals who may be at risk from bullying and the signs that may indicate that a child or young person is being bullied. Consider the reasons that may cause children and young people to be a bully themselves to get to the root of the problem.Unit 3: Action to be taken when a child or young person is being bulliedEvaluate how to respond to and support a child who may be being bullied and how to approach the bully themself.Unit 4: Understand government guidelines for bullyingDeep dive into relevant anti bullying legislation like The Equality Act 2010 and look into government and Ofsted guidance and policies on bullying and preventing it.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

This is an online learning course and will require the learner to commit to self study hours in order to complete the assessments.Each learner will be assessed via interactive online resources and end of unit assessment questions. Assessments must be completed in the agreed timescale and submitted to the assessor who will then provide feedback, advice and guidance, and, additional support where needed.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however you should have a good level of reading and writing skills.
