Course Summary

The course enables students to get a deeper understanding of the Arabic Language, Society and Culture while studying Literature and a Film. Lessons are conducted in Arabic. We focus on the main four skills of Language Learning, namely Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing although Speaking is not part of the final assessment. This course will provide you with excellent communication and reading skills which will be useful in general future careers

Theme 1: This theme covers society past and present. If the research subject is chosen from this theme, it must focus on one Arabic-speaking country.

Theme 2: This theme covers artistic culture past and present. If the research subject is chosen from this theme, it must focus on one Arabic-speaking country

Theme 3: This theme covers society past and present. If the research subject is chosen from this theme, it must focus on one Arabic-speaking country.

Theme 4: This theme covers political culture past and present. If the research subject is chosen from this theme, it must focus on one Arabic-speaking country.

Entry requirements

To take A Level Arabic, you must already be able to speak the language, ideally using it daily. A GCSE in Arabic is helpful but not essential. You should also have a strong interest in Arabic culture, society, and the language itself.
