Course Summary
Accelerate�your career in welding by studying this practical part-time course.�This course is suitable for those who wish to gain the skills and knowledge required for access to employment in the industry, those who are already employed and would like to obtain relevant and up to date occupational skills.
Course Details
The course is ideal if you are already working in welding and fabrication industries and are looking to develop your skills further, to increase your responsibilities and knowledge. The course will give you the opportunity to learn, develop and practise the skills in welding, metal fabrication, thermal cutting or brazing and soldering. You will be able to learn about welding disciplines in MIG, ARC or TIG.�
The course is designed to enable candidates to demonstrate welding skills typically found in industry and associated underpinning knowledge to a level that will enable them to complete welded joints in standard welding positions and prepare them for undertaking qualifications at NVQ Level 2 and at Level 3.
You�ll learn how to work safely within a welding environment and produce five welding assessments including three straight runs, lap joint, T fillet in flat position, T fillet in the horizontal/vertical position and corner joint.

To sign up to this course you will need a City & Guilds Introduction to Welding Skills Level 1 qualification.
