Course Details
During this, 12-week introductory course, you will learn about the basic theories of teaching and the fundamental elements required to teach learners in post-compulsory education. You will learn about lesson planning, delivery and assessment.
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET qualification) is the first step in teacher training, and this learning pathway can take you all the way to a PGCS (Postgraduate Certificate in Education).
You will complete the following three units:
Understanding the Roles, Responsibilities and Relationships in Education and TrainingUnderstanding and using inclusive learning and teaching approaches in education and trainingUnderstanding the principles and practices of assessment
How will it be delivered and assessed?
You will build a portfolio of evidence and you will be observed undertaking a micro-teach.
Entry requirements
A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in your subject specialism, GCSE grade 4/C or above in maths and English, or equivalent qualification.
