Course Details

The course is aimed at those who use or want to develop their own counselling skills in a range of settings. The course offers learners the opportunity to identify, understand and evaluate key elements of the main theoretical approaches to counselling and practice and develop a range of interpersonal and counselling skills. On completion of the course you will be aware of the skills required to initiate, maintain and conclude a counselling skills interaction and integrate these into your chosen setting. The course provides a nationally recognised qualification in counselling skills to those who complete it successfully.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Through completion of assignments, all of which are internal assessed , internally and externally moderated In addition peer, tutor and self assessment runs through the course.

Entry requirements

Learners are required to have achieved the Level 2 Award in Counselling Concepts before applying for this course . Please note we do not accept online Level 2 qualifications.

On successful completion of this course learners may able to progress onto a related Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
