Spanish A Level

This course enables students to get a deeper understanding of the Spanish Language, Society and Culture while studying Literature and a Film.

Lessons are in the Target Language which students get used to very quickly. We focus on the four main skills of Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. This course will provide you with excellent communication skills which are useful in future careers in general.

Year One

• Being a young person in Spanish-speaking society
• Understanding the Spanish-speaking world

Year Two

• Diversity and difference
• The two Spains: 1936 onwards

Exams: 100%

You’ll need a solid grasp of GCSE grammar and topics, confidence speaking in front of others, and a genuine interest in Spain and Spanish culture.

An A Level in Spanish equips you with excellent communication skills valued across many careers. You could study Spanish or another language at university, or combine it with subjects like business, law, politics, or science for even broader opportunities.
